Politigoal: the 2026 election football game

Politigoal is a free satirical head soccer game, made for the 2026 Knesset election. The heads of the lists run onto the pitch as big heads on small bodies, kicking, jumping and firing specials with names anyone who follows the news will recognise. You play right in your browser, on a phone or a computer, with no download and no sign-up.

What Politigoal is

The idea is simple: two players, one ball and a goal on each side. Every match lasts 60 seconds, and whoever scores more wins. You move, jump, kick and sprint, and a power meter fills up as you play. When it is full, you fire the special of the character you picked: a dome over your goal, an opponent in handcuffs, a zigzag shot, and 29 different specials in all, one for each character.

Every now and then a bonus bubble pops up on the pitch: big head, speed, ballot box, freeze and big ball. Whoever touched the ball last when it popped the bubble gets the bonus. The game works offline against the computer, installs to your home screen like an app, and comes in Hebrew and English.

Game modes

There are several ways to play, from a one-minute match against the computer to a weekly league against real people:

Online
Play real people in real time. Pick a nickname, with no password and no email, and tap "Find me an opponent". You can also invite a friend with a link, watch matches being played right now, chat, and join the online Cup. Every online match moves you up the levels, and that is how more leaders open up.
Vs computer
One match against the computer, at any level, with or without pitch bonuses. No internet needed. Draws are possible.
Election Campaign
Beat lists to win their seats, from the smallest to the largest. Reach 61 to form a government; three losses and it is back to elections.
Knesset Cup
Eight lists, three rounds: quarterfinal, semifinal and final. One loss and you are out.
Daily challenge
A new challenge waits every midnight: a set character, a set opponent, a bot at a fixed level and a goal, such as winning by 2 or winning without conceding. Everyone gets the same challenge on the same day, results go on a daily table, and finishing day after day builds a streak.
Weekly league
A new league starts every week. Every win in "Find me an opponent" is worth 3 points, plus 1 for beating a player at a higher level. Up to 3 matches against the same opponent count each week, and at the end of the week the top 3 go up on the podium and get a trophy.

In the Campaign and the Cup, a tie at full time goes to golden goal: the next goal wins.

The leaders, and how they open up

The 15 list heads are there from the very first match. 14 more candidates open up as you go up the online levels: a win is worth 10 points, a loss takes off 5, and every 50 points is a new level, up to level 15. From level 2 on, each level opens one character:

All the leaders, their stats and their specials

Why we made it

An election campaign is a busy, noisy and sometimes tiring time. We wanted something small and light to go with it: a game you can play on a break, send to friends on every side and laugh at together, without an argument. The specials poke fun at the language of politics, its slogans, committees and breaking news, not at people, and nobody gets special treatment. In the end it is football: whoever scores more wins.

Satire, not campaigning

Satire. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or funded by any party or candidate.

The heads of the lists, plus more candidates you unlock as you level up online. Everyone gets the same treatment: the same dose of satire, alphabetical order, no party logos and no real voices.

Campaign seat values come from an average of published polls. During the poll blackout every list counts as 8 seats.

Privacy in short

No password and no email. Progress against the computer stays on your device; online, the server keeps your nickname and results, and that is all other players see.
